Coming to end, and bittersweet
Jerry is slowing here, but some say this is the best So Many Roads ever? I don't think so, but the weariness in Jerry's voice adds a lot to this song (and Day's Between), and it's closing jam is interesting. My favorite So Many Road is 7/9/95, the last show, but that's probably partly sentimental.

Fall '94 Shoreline N3: Twenty-Eights Days Between
28/41: Samson (7:23) -> Drumz (23:16) -> Days Between (13:02) -> Throwing Stones -> NFA.
Excellent Miller SBD that really amplifies heavy-metal Weir. Sometimes, tbh, it's jarring, especially contrasted with Garcia's softer, acoustic tone. I have in mind, for example, the Jack-A-Roe and - whoa - Rooster, too. It's perhaps in an effort to compensate for a fading Garcia, though he honestly sounds good, here, on the slide. Otherwise, the Days Between out of space is chilling as always. So Many Roads is also worth the re-listen. Finally, the second set closing NFA is surprisingly energized- and Brokedown Palace encores.
